If you are leaving on a trip, before you leave make a video of yourself telling your sweetheart that you love them and how much you will miss them. If you don't have access to a video camera then write a love letter. Hide the video tape somewhere in their room, and leave small little notes and clues for them to find. Leave some in easy to find places and some in hard to find places. Before you leave, give them a note that leads them to one of the hidden notes, that note will then lead them to another, and so on, until they find the note that leads them to your tape. A rose on the pillow before you leave might be a good idea too.

My fiance is about the least romantic guy in the whole world, so I was completely surprised when one Valentine's Day I woke up and looked out my window. He had sneaked over to my house in the middle of the night and drawn hearts and "I Love Stacey" all over my driveway and front steps with chalk. I was having a bridal shower at my house that day and I couldn't stop bragging about the best thing he had ever done.

One of the most romantic and endearing things that I will always remember and cherish was a time when I had to go out of town for a meeting. I was late and barely made it to the airline gate in time. As I got through security, there he stood waiting for me with a single red rose. There was only time for a quick hug as he hurried me to get on the plane. When my plane was in the air, I was holding the rose. A woman passed down the aisle and said, "Someone must really love you." I didn't need a plane to fly to Atlanta.

I worked as a camp counsellor for two months one summer, and I was feeling really lonely. One day a surprise package arrived, my boyfriend had sent me a care package full of chocolate, flowers, and little notes telling me how special I was. I was glowing for the rest of the summer!

Arrange for your partner to get the day off on an anniversary or special occasion. Speak directly with their boss, and make sure it is kept a secret. Bosses are understanding at times. Let your partner think they are going to work, before they leave tell your partner: "We are going on an all day date instead of going to work and I've arranged for your day off".

When I was stressed out over finals week, my boyfriend (who graduated from college already) came over and surprised me with a "Stress Survival Kit." It had lots of munchies, some cigarettes, a book of jokes, a 12 pack of Coke, pictures of us, and some beer for me to celebrate with once finals were over. It was so sweet...I would suggest it to anyone.

If you are in a high school relationship, get your girlfriend's locker combination from one of her friends. Stuff a large teddy bear into one of the shelves, so when the locker is opened up, the bear will pop out. She'll love it.

If you have a spare key to you bf/gf's car, take flowers, candies, or love letters and tape them up inside their car. By the time they get to their car you will be gone and have a surprise for them.

I figure, the more the merrier, so I filled the room 1/2 full with balloons. I placed several types of candy in the balloons (including kisses) with the love notes. I mixed helium balloons with regular balloons. Be careful because the timing is kinda tricky. I found out a 9" balloon with a note and a couple of pieces of candy will only last about three hours before it hits the floor. I also tied streamers to each balloons that were long enough to touch the floor. My girlfriend was stunned when she walked into the room and found balloons on the floor and had to walk through the curled streamers from the ones on the ceiling. Then just leave a love letter with a needle and she can have some fun.

My boyfriend booked a hotel room on my birthday. He sent me there and went off to collect the cake and champaigne. We spent a romantic evening in the room having a candlelight dinner and at night my friends came over and I had the most memorable birthday in my life.

Blindfold your girlfriend and take her somewhere really nice for dinner. Remove the blindfold when you arrive at the restaurant, but put it back on her when you leave. Take her to special places that you have been before, or places that hold memories (where you met, etc.). Blindfold her while travelling to each place. At the end of the night tell her how much you loved every place you have ever been and everything thing you have ever done and that you would do it all over again.

I did this for my boyfriend on our three month anniversay. He had to work a 11 hr day, so I went to his work before he got off and put a rose with a poem and a note on his car. Then as he was reading it I started to walk up to the car. He got out of the car because I put at the very bottom that I was there. I saw that beautiful smile, he looked incredibly happy.

Fill a room 1/3 or so with balloons and put a candy heart in each balloon or a written message. Have a dozen or so of her favorite flowers in the room and your song playing on the radio. Slow dance in the balloons and what ever else you want to do in the balloons. :) Suprise her with this when she gets back from vacation or comes home from a hard day of work.
